Android Smartphone shipments Exceed 100 Million Units - A research firm Canalys reported Android smartphone shipments surpass 100 million for the first time.
 
Of the 158.3 million smartphones shipped worldwide in Q2 2012, 207.8 million units is the Android-based smartphone. In other words, two out of three, or 68.1 percent of the outstanding smartphone powered by Google's operating system.
