Apple & Google Patent Deals Kodak Enters the War
CALIFORNIA - Two giant companies, Apple and Google both have the ambition to strengthen their intellectual property rights. Recent reports suggest Apple and Google to try to acquire Kodak's 1100 patent.
Reported by T3, Sunday (7/29/2012), the manufacturer of popular mobile operating system platforms that are interested in acquiring or buying up Kodak's 1100 patent. As it is known as the Kodak camera company's largest, is undergoing bankruptcy proceedings.
Wall Street Journal suggests, Apple is working with Microsoft Corp. and the company's patent aggregation Intellectual Ventures Management LLC to form a bidding group. Other sources also suggest the existence of another consortium that includes Google and RPX Corp. patent aggregation companies as well as three companies that make hardware-based Android phone.
By forming groups such offers, it also allows the company to gain advantage in an increasingly competitive smartphone war and profitable.
Some sources also said that Apple's ambition, and Google to acquire Kodak's patents indicate a possibility of imaging improvements at both companies who wish to bring to market a portable gadget.
